This is not opensource, which kinda sucks, but at the least the developer supports Linux.
The GUI version is not available for Linux though, and probably never will (the "vstgui" module is not available for X11 systems).
(I have a solution for making cross-platform plugin + GUIs, but it's in development)

Sadly, the author states in the plugin manual:
Although Digits is free, it may not be freely redistributed and the binary of the program may not
be altered. Please link to the installer found at http://www.extentofthejam.com

feel free to talk to him to see if you can change his mind, I'm too busy and not bothering too much for another closed-source plugin.

no prob.
You can still easily download it and place it under ~/.vst or /usr/lib/vst, so vst hosts will be able to use it.

what caught my attention was the topic title "Sick looking Linux VSTi", but in fact such plugin will not have a linux GUI any time soon

Just read it, thanks for the heads up.

I have some experimental code for VST UIs in Linux (using openGL), it's not ready for release...
I've uploaded a source tarball with a plugin inside, although the UI seems to have some little issues right now:

(I'll reply this same message to the ML)
EDIT: err, forgot to leave signature, oh well...

Nice, looks good already :) Now let's hope something comes out of this.

Totally OT but now that I think of it, so far I have had no more issues with any plug-ins based on Juce since I switched to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with 3.2 real-time kernels. Now I can finally make some noise with NoiseMaker.
